I had a good research on Pinterest for inspiration and tips and hot-footed it down to Hobbycraft (where I might have ended up buying *quite* a bit more than just a cake skirt tin!)
The cowl-neck long evening gown has thin shoulder straps that criss cross the open back before lacing up for the best fit, while the long skirt opens in a wide side slit before cascading to the floor in a ruffled hemline
